Tomorrow morning, at 8am EST, Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon begins! I feel totally scatter-brained and underprepared — I haven’t even taken a picture of my TBR pile yet. I intend to do a big post tomorrow, with some of the challenges and surveys, but if you’re participating in the readathon or want to follow my updates, I’m going to primarily be over on Twitter and Instagram. (I used to always try to update hourly, but I’d get SO burnt out.)
Man, I’ve inadvertently bitten off a lot more than I intended to chew this fall. Wanting to transition back into a college-y mindset, I started taking some online classes — I’ve got a precalculus class that requires at least three hours a day, two astronomy and exoplanet courses on edx that are fascinating but astrophysics and hard; and then I’ve just started two more for-credit classes that need 3 or 4 hours a week. And I’m stopping everything to do a 24 hour readathon. And, also, I really need to be writing daily too! OH WAIT, AND THERE’S THAT THING CALLED EXERCISING. good grief.
So, actually, I’m really excited for this readathon. Anything I fall behind in, I’ve got Sunday to catch back up. I just want to enjoy tomorrow — no stress, no responsibilities, just books, and community, and candy, and cheering each other on.
Meaning … I should really do some laundry, prepare some snacks for tomorrow, clean up my room, prepare my book pile, set an alarm, and do another hour of math before I go to bed tonight. And go to bed early enough to wake up at 8 am. (Why is having fun stressful???)
